Confidence. It’s something we all desire, we all deserve but many of us struggle with. We seek validation from others to help build it. In particular, we need it to succeed in business. What I have learnt is that confidence does not come from outside sources, it comes from within us.
Other terms that can be used to describe Confidence are self-love, self-worth, worthiness, trust & true belief in ourselves that we are Worthy of all our desires. A faith that people will love us for exactly who we are.
While I can say now at 50+ years old that I have this true confidence, it certainly has not always been the case. I have had periods where I have not known who/what my identity was, let alone have any self-love. I’ve had to find my way back to a new & better version of me, so that I can now say with conviction that I am proud of who I am & I am now achieving all my dreams.
And this is my desire for every single one of you as well. Confidence is much more than just a word - it is our being & shows in everything we do. And in business, it is needed to be able to step into the Leader we all have within us.

I have 2 amazing adult children with amazing partners, all in their late-20's. I am now officially an empty nester – and loving it!
In 2017, I experienced workplace bullying and sexual harassment, which left me suffering extreme stress, and I ended up having a major mental breakdown. I was diagnosed with depression, acute anxiety and PTSD.
After going off on Work cover for months, I was forced to resign a high paying corporate job of almost 10 years that I loved, for the sake of my mental health.
Overnight I lost my income, my job, my career, and friends. But most importantly - I lost me. I now longer knew who I was, my identity.
While recovering from this horrific experience, I knew deep down there was a reason the Universe & God had allowed me to go through all this. But what was I going to do with the rest of my life? I couldn’t stand the thought of stepping foot in a corporate office again!
You see, throughout my 50+ years of life, I've also survived 2 abusive marriages - one in particular classified as Domestic Violence not only focused on me, but also my children
So many times in my past, I’d been told that I was ‘hopeless, useless, not good enough at anything, stupid, ugly, fat, undesirable…” etc etc. You get the picture.
Although NONE of these things are true - I started to believe what I was being told. I felt like a complete failure at life.
Yet, I found the strength to pick myself up & find that tiny spark still shining in me - and to find ways to light it again. So my light would shine for me & my kids again. So I could be the best Mum possible and the best woman I knew how to be.
BUSINESS CONFIDENCE
As business women, we put so much of ourselves into achieving our dreams & goals. As well as continuing to be wifes, mothers & natural nurturers in general to all those around us.
And for most of us - we've lived a life, had a LOT of changes & many of them quite significant to say the least! (you’ve read my story) - and these bring with them a whole new level of determination to do something for ourselves, to be a success and feel truly empowered in our decision to run a business.
If you're anything like me, when you began working for yourself, you didn't realise just how much you would need to work on your mindset to be able to keep up the continual pace required. Oh yeah not to mention the fact that to run a business means the most VISIBLE & attractive part of your business is YOU.
All the many hats we constantly wear, both professionally & personally can be difficult to keep up with.
I am on a mission to help women confidently follow their own dreams of running successful businesses.
After my first marriage, I found myself financially destitute and very quickly had to figure out how to create an income so I could raise my 2 young children. Then again, after losing my 10 year career - once again I found myself in the same scenario. Both times, I did this through creative means of running my own businesses.
I am now passionate about helping my fellow females to develop & grow their own businesses so they can support themselves & their families financially.
In 2019 I started working with women to help you rediscover your voice, confidence and strength. To be an incredible woman who rises above all life’s challenges - personal & financial & business!
In 2022 - The Heart & Soul Business Academy was launched & the 20 year dream as a single mother became reality.
